Mayhem Gulch is an easy, beautiful loop trail close to Denver. If wanting to do this trail on a weekend, pay attention, this is a mixed use trail. You can only HIKE on the ODD numbered weekend days. EVEN numbered weekend days are reserved specifically for BIKING. Therefore if wanting a fun loop to bike with no worry of running into hikers, bring your bike on an even numbered weekend day!
This is a fun, easy trek and a great loop. After the initial climb you can go either way at the T. The Juniper Trail to the left and Mayhem Gulch Trail to the right. The Travois Trail connects the two trails for a short bit on the far side, making this a loop. Just be sure to follow signs for Juniper and/or Mayhem Gulch.
This trail offers some gorgeous views on all sides. Without much elevation gain, this one is easily doable for the whole family!

The Mayhem Gulch trailhead is right off Highway 6 just West of Golden. There is a fairly large parking lot and gorgeous Clear Creek runs right next to it.
