Located within Mesa Verde National Park, this is a magical trail that takes you down into the Mesa. Walk in the footsteps of the Pueblos, over ancient steps and marvel at the sight of a cliff wall filled with petroglyphs!
This is the best hike in the park, it really lets you feel what it would have been like to be one of the ancient Pueblo cliff dwellers. Not nearly as busy as the rest of the park, this is a great place to get away from the crowds and enjoy the stunning landscape.
Wildflowers spring up next to the trail and within the ruins. Gorgeous views of the mesa await. We encourage you to take it slow on this trail and really enjoy the trip back in time to the ancient Pueblo! If you are making a trip to Mesa Verde, this adventure is a must.
Be sure to bring plenty of extra water, as it gets quite hot.
A fantastic place to take pictures of Ancient American history and gorgeous landscapes!
This trail begins just outside the museum in Mesa Verde National Park. Being a National Park, it obviously gets busy, but this is a good trail to get away from the crowd!
